Privacy policy

Shelter Partner runs the First 90 Days program on behalf of the animal shelter you adopted from. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
What we collect
- About you: first name, mobile number, time zone, and who lives in your home (kids, cats, other dogs, type of home).
- About your dog: name, photo (optional), adoption date, energy, age, size, shelter notes, microchip number and company, and anything you add to the dog record such as vet visits and vaccines.
- Your consent to texts: the exact consent wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the IP address it came from.
- What you send us: replies to our texts, help requests, questions you type into the chat, and photos you upload.
- Basic usage: which program pages you open and when.
How we use it
- To send the First 90 Days texts and show pages made for your dog.
- To pass your help requests and happy tails updates to your shelter.
- To answer chat questions about your dog.
- To keep records of your consent and opt-outs, as the law requires.
Text messaging
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with anyone except the service providers that deliver our messages. Our texts never contain ads or sponsor names.
Who we share it with
- Your shelter sees your sign-up, your dog's profile, help requests, and happy tails updates so its staff can support you.
- Service providers that run the program for us, only to provide it: text message delivery (Twilio), hosting and file storage (Vercel), database (Neon), email (Google), and, for the chat, an AI provider (OpenAI) that receives your question and your dog's profile but not your phone number.
- The law: if required by law or to protect someone's safety.
Pages may show local pet services and a “presented by” sponsor credit. We don't give sponsors or listed businesses your information.
How long we keep it
We keep your dog's record available after the program ends so you can use it. Ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, except records we must keep, such as proof of consent and opt-outs.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop all texts. Reply START to resume.
- Email [contact email not set] to see, correct, or delete your information.
Children
The program is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We use encrypted connections and limit access to the people who run the program, but no system is perfectly secure.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above. Big changes will be announced by text before they take effect.
